“I believe that Sigma Chi exists to build better men and that we will be measured by the successes and actions of the young men who join our Brotherhood. As you are likely aware, in close partnership with our General Fraternity, we have adopted a joint strategic plan that delivers a growing portfolio of values-based leadership programs, social issue training, and scholarship support to our young men. I commit to you, our stakeholders that your Foundation will be in aggressive pursuit of the resources needed to support this plan and that we will be zealous stewards of your future gifts.”
Ashley Woods, East Tennessee State 2000
Sigma Chi Foundation President and CEO

The Sigma Chi Foundation solicits financial resources, provides faithful stewardship, and engages in exemplary ethical practices in support of Sigma Chi and Leadership Development.

The Sigma Chi Foundation is respected for the manner in which we establish expectations, and build and administer an endowment that supports leadership and scholarship programs that reach beyond Sigma Chi’s borders, in perpetuity.

The Sigma Chi Foundation is a charitable and educational tax-exempt organization, separate and independent from the Fraternity, whose express purpose is to serve as an educational funding resource for the undergraduate and graduate student members of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. Through leadership initiatives such as Horizons, the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, and the Journey Chapter Retreat program, the Sigma Chi Foundation is preparing our young men to be the value-centered leaders to guide us in the 21st century.

A 17 member Board of Governors, headed by Chairman and Significant Sig Robert D. Johnson, MIAMI (OHIO) 1969, guide the Foundation. Foundation President and CEO, Ashley Woods, is the Foundation's executive officer based at Peterson International Headquarters in Evanston, Ill.
